Now on its fourteenth year, the American Corner-Manila based in the De La Salle University (DLSU) renewed its partnership with the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy Manila through the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Representing DLSU were Br. Michael Broughton FSC, Vice Chancellor for Lasallian Mission, Mr. Edwin P. Santiago, Vice President for Administration, and Dr. Leonila C. Abella, Associate Vice President for Information Resource Management. Ms. Bettina Malone, Counselor for Public Affairs and Ms. Princess Grace Wooden, Deputy Director of the Thomas Jefferson Information Center, represented the US Embassy Manila, on the other hand.

The MOU, which covers three (3) academic years, confirms both organizations’ commitment of promoting academic collaboration that will facilitate and sustain academic programs, cultural exchanges, joint research, and other educational initiatives, thus enhancing the continued support from the US Embassy to DLSU particularly to the American Corner (AC) Manila.

Also present during the ceremonies were Dr. Julio C. Teehankee, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and Dr. Renato C. De Castro of the International Studies Department.
