As part of IamInfoSMART 2018, the Libraries will hold #MyMemerableLibrary; a meme making contest over at The Libraries’ Facebook page from Wednesday-Friday, 14-17 November 2018. This activity aims to familiarize the DLSU community with the Libraries’ services, facilities, and collection in a creative way. This contest is open to all bonafide DLSU faculty and all students. Individual and group entries will be accepted. Each individual/group is only allowed to submit one (1) entry per caption Mechanics: Meme captions will be announced by the Libraries through the Facebook fan page.  Participants will choose a caption and pair it with a photo to come up with a meme.  Photos used should be owned or taken by the participants themselves.  Participants post their meme using the hashtags #MyMemerableLibrary and #IAIS2018  All photos submitted for this contest shall be the property of DLSU Libraries.  Entries will be judged using the following criteri...

As part of the IamInfoSMART 2018 campaign of making every Lasallian information literate, The Libraries will hold a Reskilling and Upskilling Workshop with the theme “ Measuring your Research impact ” on 17 November 2018, Saturday, 9:00AM-12:00PM, Phinma E-Classroom, M303, Miguel Building. This event is FREE and open to all DLSU students, faculty and staff . The  session aims to: to provide faculty and students practical information research impact; to present ways of measuring and tracking research impact using Scopus & Almetrics; and, to learn about creating research profiles (ORCID, etc). Interested participants are required to register online (fill out the form HERE ) due to the limited number of slots per session. A certificate of participation will be given to all attendees. Now on its fifth year, the DLSU Libraries will be holding its annual information literacy campaign called IamInfoSMART with the theme "Outgaming Misinformation: Media and Information Literacy Does the Mending” on 24-29 November 2017 at The Learning Commons. This activity is in line with the celebration of the Library and Information Services (LIS) month this November. SMART  refers to the ability to:  S eek for the right information;  M anage retrieved information effectively;  A ssess information critically;  R efer information sources correctly; and  T reat and apply information ethically. The DLSU Libraries will be holding its annual information literacy campaign called IamInfoSMART with the theme "Outgaming Misinformation: MIL Does the Mending” on 27-29 November 2017, 9:00AM-5:00PM at the Exhibit Area, The Learning Commons, 6F Henry Sy, Sr. Hall. One of the activities is a free symposium entitled “ Upscaling: Information Literacy in Transformation " to be held at the 12 th Floor Multi-purpose Room, The Learning Commons on 27 November 2017 (Monday) , 1:00PM – 5:00PM . As DLSU Libraries continues to promote media and information literacy (MIL), a free half-day lecture was conducted to 15 teacher-librarians affiliated with the Department of Education Division of Imus City held at the Ortigas Room, The Learning Commons, 13th floor, Henry Sy Sr. Hall on 10 November 2016, 9:00AM to 11:30AM.
