IamInfoSMART 2019 Features IL (Information Literacy) Bucket List

The Libraries, as part of its IamInfoSMART 2019 day one activities, provided a half-day library research training dubbed as IL Bucket List held at the Philippe Jones Lhuillier Conference Room, 14F Henry Sy Sr. Hall De La Salle University on 12 November 2019, 1:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Said training was facilitated by Ms. Minette Vinzon-Co and included the following topics: 1) Database Searching, which focused on the techniques for searching efficiently and comprehensively as well as the important features of online databases to improve search skills; 2) Turnitin (for students), which explored Turnitin features for a student account and how students check/view the originality of their paper; and 3) Mendeley, a reference management tool, teach a student to cite, organize and manage their reference sources. 



A total of 147 registered participants coming from senior high school, undergraduate, graduate students, and faculty of De La Salle University attended the research training.
