"DQ Unlocked” for IamInfoSMART 2019

IamInfoSMART, an annual information literacy campaign of the DLSU Libraries, was held last November 12-16, 2019 at The Learning Commons, De La Salle University with the theme “DQ Unlocked.” This year’s event was organized in partnership with the American Corner Manila and Globe myBusiness. Now on its sixth year, IamInfoSMART 2019 highlighted digital literacy as one of the key components of  digital intelligence quotient (DQ) and a vital element of lifelong learning and digital participation. This campaign aimed to raise awareness on the emergence of the digital intelligence quotient with digital literacy as the main thrust. Also, the activities organized were intended to make the transfer of digital literacy skills more exciting, fun, and interactive.


The opening ceremonies was held on November 12, 2019 and included a ribbon cutting activity led by Ms. Christine M. Abrigo, Director of the Libraries with Mr. Horacio G. Severino, Journalist, GMA Network, Inc., Mr. Julliano Fernando A. Guiang, Junior TV Host, People's Television Network, Inc., Ms. May L. Cajes, IamInfoSMART 2019, Chair, and Ms. Mennie Ruth A. Viray, IamInfoSMART 2019 Co-Chair. 

Members of the DLSU community as well as guests from other institutions attended and participated in the week-long event. The activities lined-up for this campaign were as follows:
