Jianzhi: The Art of Chinese Paper Cutting

​The Libraries  invites you to a free lecture-workshop on Jianzhi: The Art of Chinese Paper Cutting to be held  on 30 March 2017, Thursday, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Chinese Corner, The Learning Commons, 9th Floor Mezzanine, Henry Sy, Sr. Hall.  This session will provide an overview of the traditional Chinese visual art in the form of paper cutting. Participants will also be given the opportunity to practice paper cutting with the help of the facilitator.

Yang Wenxia was invited to facilitate the workshop. Yang Wenxia is a Chinese teacher at the Confucius Institute of the Ateneo de Manila University. She is the recipient of the  First-Prize Scholarship in Qufu Normal University for four consecutive years from 2010-2014.

Online registration is required due to limited number of slots. Interested participants are requested to kindly fill out this online registration form. Registration ends at 5:00 PM on Monday, 27 March 2017.
