IamInfoSMART Video Contest winners announced

As part of the Online IamInfoSMART Project, the Libraries conducted a video contest from 13 August to 30 September 2014. This activity aims to solicit ideas from library patrons themselves by actively engaging them in the development of short video tutorials on information literacy skills.

A total of eighteen (18) video entries, one for each of the following topics, were submitted by six (6) group/individual contestants who joined the video contest: (1) Find print journals and articles in the library; (2) Search online databases and eBooks; and, (3) Access and download online articles and eBooks from off-campus.

After a series of screenings, the following winners were announced on October 4, 2014:

Grand prize:

• Karmelo Antonio L. Carranza
• Albert Ponce
• Karl Deinielle S. Mascariña

Consolation prizes:

• Samantha June Rice and Marie Bernadette Tuason 
• Maika Someda and Lawrence S. Lin

The grand prize winner received Php 10,000.00. A consolation prize of Php 3,000.00 was awarded to each of the next top two winners.
