Libraries Announces the Partial Resumption of its On-premise Operation and Services
As the De La Salle University starts Term 3 of AY 2019-2020, the Libraries announced on 6 July 2020 that it will resume partial on-premise operation and services for the faculty members.
While faculty are strongly advised to keep the borrowed books with them until everyone is allowed to return to campus, they may opt to return borrowed books by dropping them in book chutes. For both people and material safety, the receiving of books for return is available at the the Manila Campus only. No over-the-counter receiving for now. All books will be quarantined for 7 days, following library and paper conservation standards.
Starting 08 July 2020, an advance online reservation of print books and serials (journals, magazines) for pick up will also be made available to faculty members via the MyLibrary facility.
To borrow materials through advance reservation, faculty will need to follow these steps:
- Step 1 - Request. Place a book/serial reservation request through MyLibrary account.
- Step 2 - Confirm. Patron will be notified through e-mail once the material is ready for pick up.
- Step 3 - Pick up. Pick up schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9AM to 4PM only. Pick up station is at the Information Desk, The Learning Commons, 6th floor, Henry Sy, Sr. Hall
The Libraries will continue to provide online support services such as Ask LORA, 24/7 remote access to e-resources, information guides and tools as well as online library trainings and tutorials.
