A very special love: The American Corner way
It’s the
love month this February and to celebrate the occasion, the American Corner Manila in partnership
with the Philippine Librarians
Association, Inc. - National Capital Region (PLAI-NCR) Librarians Council and
The National Library of the Philippines
hosted a storytelling and puppet show to the children of St. Maria de Mattias
Mission Center at Cenacle Drive, Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City last 9
February 2013 with the theme “Celebrate Valentines thru Storytelling and
Puppet Show”.
The day
started with the celebration of the Holy Mass. The team of Librarians from the
National Library presented two children’s stories and two puppet shows
which all focused on love and friendship.
The kids
enjoyed the very interactive and lively performance of the storytellers and
puppeteers. To complete the lovely day, the kids were provided with goodies and
were treated to a hearty meal who returned the kindness by wearing big smiles on
their faces.
True
enough, love knows no bounds, more so when it is genuinely shared with others.
