IamInfoSMART 2015 : Amazing Race Year 3
On November
6, 2015 at The Learning Commons, 39 students coming from 13
groups gathered to compete to be challenged and be the next winner of this
year’s IamInfoSMART Amazing Race 2015. Contestants were from different
colleges, namely: College of Business (COB), College of Computer Studies (CCS), College
of Science (COS) and College of Engineering (COE).
Group
participants who accepted the challenge are: LMD (COB), POPS (CCS), LEINELL’s
(COB), PHYSICS PALS (COS), RG RACERS (COB), ALYANSANG BOOGIE (COB), BANG BANG
TRIO (COB), THREE MUSKETEERS (COB), C-PAG (COB), CHE (COE), PPG (COB),
BACKYARDIEANS (COB) and CCS (COB).
Participants were given challenges
that will lead them to different sections of The Leaning Commons, where they
must perform various tasks in a race against other teams. The game is a
simulation activity in the library that will test student’s patience, agility, teamwork effort, and information literacy skills.
The goal of the activity is to simply
teach Lasallian students on how to develop their information literacy skills
while having fun and to become responsible researchers.

The hailed IamInfoSMART Amazing Race
champion received Php3,500. The 1st
runner up winners received Php2,500 () and Php1, 500 (2nd runner up) was awarded to the next
top two winners.
Based on the reality hit TV series
“Amazing Race”, Libraries version
IamInfoSMART Amazing Race gained its popularity among Lasallian community since
it was concluded on November 29, 2013.
