North-South Korea amidst the growing tension

Last July 25, 2013, the American Corner Manila and The Organization for American Studies organized a lecture with resource speaker, Mr. Thomas C. Weber, Career Diplomat at the Embassy of the United States of America in Manila, to discuss about the North-South Relations: The Divided Korea in the Eyes of a Great Power.

Mr. Weber outlined some distinguishing facts on both the North and South Korea, providing historical facts on the political and military interactions between the two starting from their division in 1945 following World War II until today. He also shared his viewpoints on the tensions escalating in the Asian region.

International Studies students eagerly participated in the forum part and asked questions relating to possible threats of war due to North Korea's aggressive actions.
