Most freshmen take a lot of time adjusting to the various ins and outs of the new, fast-paced life of being a college student. With this in mind, the American Corner Manila, European Documentation Centre with The Organization for American Studies, European Studies Association and Nihon Kenkyu Kai arranged a brief International Studies students’ assembly that is aimed to empower them by discussing practical tips to help them get through their "college" days held last 25th of July 2013 at the 13/F Exhibit Area of the Learning Commons.

As part of the program, Ana Estaniel AB-ISA, Hanelle Murillo AB-ISE and Anton Villanueva AB-ISJ, students from various majorship tracks, gave their testimonies and other survival tips. Course discussion and other tips were also given by Sasa Palaganas AB-ISJ, Regine Sevilla AB-ISE, Clarizze De Guzman AB-ISA. A brief presentation on the services and resources provided at the American Corner and European Documentation Center followed shortly.
